We are seeking an exceptional, highly experienced 8+ tutor to teach in-person near Chelsea (approximately a 20 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station) on Saturday mornings. 

The Student

The student is in Year 2 at a local independent school. He is getting on well and his reports mention his positive approach to learning. Academically he is performing in line with his peers but his parents don't think that school provide enough feedback for them to monitor his progress accurately. He will be applying for 8+ entry to Sussex House (September 2027 start date). The family may also consider other schools but have not yet decided. 

Tutor Profile

The ideal tutor will have considerable experinece teaching students in preparation for 8+ exams. The family have a strong prefernece for a full-time professional tutor. They are warm and engaged, and value structured planning, consistency and regular feedback. 

Practical Details

The role will for one hour a week on Saturday mornings (although they may like shorter sessions to begin with the tutor would be paid for the full hour), ideally starting at around 10:30 or 11:00.  This is likley to increase as assessment(s) approach. The hourly rate is in the region of £70 an hour. 
 
Commitment

The role is long-term in nature, with a start required by the beginning of May and continuity to at least January 2027, likely longer. The family are willing to start later for the perfect tutor.
