Working through SENsational Tutors

Do you have QTS and at least 5 years’ SEN experience?

SENsational Tutors Ltd are seeking highly experienced, qualified teachers to deliver engaging 1:1 tuition to children with SEN, including autism, PDA, ADHD, dyslexia and other related needs.

We will prioritise interviews for tutors in Greater London, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.

The role

• Deliver creative, tailored 1:1 sessions to children with SEN
• Flexible, self-employed work around your own schedule
• Minimum 10 hours availability, Monday–Friday (daytime required)
• Initial interviews via Teams

Pay

• Self-employed Tutors typically earn £63+ per hour
• You set your own hourly rate

Essential requirements

• QTS
• Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience 
• Minimum 5 years’ SEN experience (mainstream and/or special schools)
• At least 2 years’ experience working with trauma
• Proven ability to build confidence, engagement and love of learning
• Excellent communication skills, patience and adaptability
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
• Willingness to work self-employed with appropriate insurance
• Highly professional conduct and approach
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities include

• Planning and delivering individualised lessons
• Monitoring progress and providing written feedback
• Supporting students’ academic, social and emotional development
• Liaising with parents and other professionals
