GCSE Maths Tutor
Rochester, Kent | Small-Group Tuition | Evening Hours (with Growth Potential)
Serena’s Tuition is growing, and we are delighted to be expanding our provision to include GCSE Maths support in the heart of historic Rochester, nestled between the Cathedral and the Castle. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a small, friendly and award-winning tuition company that places relationships, confidence and high-quality teaching at the centre of everything it does.
Founded by a National Primary Tutor of the Year and built on strong pedagogical principles, Serena’s Tuition has earned a reputation for nurturing learners, raising confidence and delivering excellent outcomes in calm, carefully structured small-group settings. As demand continues to grow, we are now looking for an enthusiastic and skilled GCSE Maths Tutor to help support students who need clarity, reassurance and a confidence boost as they work towards their exams.
The role
You will plan and deliver engaging GCSE Maths sessions to small groups of no more than eight students. Lessons take place in a beautiful, character-filled teaching space in central Rochester, creating a calm and inspiring environment for both tutor and students.
Initially, the role will involve a two-hour weekday evening commitment (day to be confirmed), with the potential for additional hours as the programme develops, including optional Saturday sessions for those who would like to extend their involvement.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking someone who genuinely enjoys teaching, explaining and encouraging students, particularly those who may feel anxious or under-confident about maths.
Applicants must have:
Why join Serena’s Tuition?
• Small groups only, no more than eight students
• A supportive, collaborative and welcoming team
• Beautiful teaching spaces in a unique historic setting
• Carefully planned resources and a strong pedagogical framework
• A growing business with genuine opportunities for progression
• A culture that values creativity, professionalism and joy in teaching
This role would suit a teacher who wants to reconnect with the joy of teaching maths, without the pressures of large classes, endless marking or rigid schemes. If you enjoy helping students feel capable, calm and confident, you will feel very much at home here.
