Online Maths Tutor (Functional Skills & Dyscalculia Specialist)
Milverton Education is an established and growing online tutoring company dedicated to helping learners of all ages achieve their full potential. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Maths Tutor to join our team, with a particular focus on delivering Functional Skills Maths support.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills Maths (Entry Levels, Level 1, and Level 2), alongside a strong foundation in supporting students with GCSE Maths. You should be confident in tailoring lessons to meet a wide range of learner needs – from school-age pupils to adult learners aiming to build confidence and achieve qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality 1:1 or small-group online tutoring sessions in Functional Skills Maths.

Support learners preparing for exams, assessments, or workplace requirements.

Adapt teaching style and resources to suit individual learning goals.

Track progress and provide clear feedback to learners (and parents where relevant).

Collaborate with the Milverton Education team to ensure a consistent and supportive learning experience.
Requirements:

Strong subject knowledge in Maths, with specific experience in Functional Skills delivery.

Previous tutoring or teaching experience (online experience preferred).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Reliable internet connection and ability to use online teaching platforms.

Commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners of all ages.
Desirable:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching/tutoring qualifications.

Experience preparing learners for Functional Skills assessments.

Experience supporting learners with dyscalculia or other specific learning difficulties in maths.
