Tutor & HR Manager (Part-Time | Remote)

We are a UK-based education consultancy specialising in study abroad services, including academic tutoring for students aged 3–18. We are now looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Tutor & HR Manager to join our growing team on a part-time, fully remote basis.

🔹 Role: Tutor HR Manager

Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)
Type: Part-time (Flexible hours)

Key Responsibilities:

Tutor Management & Safeguarding Lead

  • Recruit and interview new tutors, ensure they meet our high-quality standards.
  • Administer DBS checks, right to work checks, reference checks, and digital ID verification.
  • Prepare and manage tutor contracts and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate trial lessons and communicate with tutors to finalise lesson plans.
  • Handle tutor-related complaints and provide resolution with professionalism.
  • Maintain tutor records, update tutor referral schemes, and process referral bonuses.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure student safety and compliance with UK safeguarding policies.
  • Keep templates up to date: registration forms, reference check forms, tutor agreements, safeguarding policies, etc.
  • Input and maintain accurate tutor data in the CRM system.
  • Issue monthly commission invoices.

Internal HR Management

  • Manage employee contracts, staff onboarding, and HR compliance processes.
  • Screen CVs, arrange interviews, and coordinate new joiner documentation.
  • Maintain staff records, p-files, and enterprise cloud documentation.
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance matters as needed.
  • Monthly payroll checks, including:
    • Salary adjustments
    • Bonus updates
    • Payslip reviews
    • Reimbursements and invoice checks
  • Calculate annual leave entitlements and deductions.
  • Liaise with accountant for payroll updates and final salary payments.
  • Lead quarterly staff performance reviews.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Prior experience in education recruitment, HR management, or safeguarding roles.
  • Familiar with UK employment law and DBS/safeguarding processes.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
