We are a small, Ofsted-registered tuition centre established in 2020, dedicated to helping students from Key Stage 2 up to A-Levels achieve their academic potential. Based in Walderslade Village, we pride ourselves on offering personalised, face-to-face tutoring in a supportive and engaging environment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide small group tuition to students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) or Key Stage 4 (KS4). You will help students improve their reading, writing, comprehension, and exam techniques, building confidence and competence in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored English tuition to meet the individual needs of each student.

• Communicate effectively with students and parents to establish learning goals.

• Create engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences focusing on reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and exam preparation.

• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.

• Support students with homework, coursework, and exam preparation.

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching or tutoring children in an educational setting (minimum one year).

• Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.

• Proficiency in effective tutoring techniques and strategies.

• Excellent communication skills to engage students of varying abilities.

• Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals.

• Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).

• Must be able to teach face to face at our Walderslade centre.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.

• Right to work in the United Kingdom.

• Reliable commute or plan to relocate to Medway before starting work.
