Job Title: English Tutor (KS3 & KS4)

Pay: Up to £40.00 per hour
We are a small, Ofsted-registered tuition centre established in 2020, dedicated to helping students from Key Stage 2 up to A-Levels achieve their academic potential. Based in Walderslade Village, we pride ourselves on offering personalised, face-to-face tutoring in a supportive and engaging environment.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Tutor to join our team. The successful candidate will provide small group tuition to students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) or Key Stage 4 (KS4). You will help students improve their reading, writing, comprehension, and exam techniques, building confidence and competence in English.
Deliver tailored English tuition to meet the individual needs of each student.
Communicate effectively with students and parents to establish learning goals.
Create engaging, interactive, and effective learning experiences focusing on reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and exam preparation.
Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
Support students with homework, coursework, and exam preparation.
Proven experience teaching or tutoring children in an educational setting (minimum one year).
Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
Proficiency in effective tutoring techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication skills to engage students of varying abilities.
Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals.
Enhanced DBS check (mandatory).
Must be able to teach face to face at our Walderslade centre.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Reliable commute or plan to relocate to Medway before starting work.
