Job Description

● EOTAS provision for a key stage 4 student, based at the child’s home and also at Alternative Provision settings.

● SEN Higher Level Teaching Assistant 

● £16.93 per hour

● Part Time, 14hours per week, 7 hours per day, 2 days per week, 38 weeks per year, plus PD days as required (term time only)

● Required to start September 2025

We are looking for a candidate who:

● Has proven experience working successfully with children with SEN

● Positively promotes the student in their care to flourish and make progress, however small the steps

● Is calm, positive and patient

● Is able to use their own initiative and can “think on their feet”

● Enjoys working as part of a team with tutors, therapists to deliver the EOTAS provision

● Can deliver interventions as appropriate to support the student

● Help with the planning and implementation of individualised education plans, including monitoring progress, recording learning evidence and providing feedback to the team

● Support the student in developing essential life skills and promoting their independence.

You will need:

● Appropriate NVQ qualifications

● Experience with working with a multi communication approach for a non verbal student using Makaton, AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and visuals

● The ability to inspire and motivate the student

● A belief that there are no limits to learning and a commitment to ensuring that every young person achieves their potential.

● Clean driving licence

● Current Enhanced DBS Check
