Primary / KS2 Tutors

J&D UK Ltd is a tutoring and education consulting company in the UK, specialising in UK independent schools. We tutor and support students over the long term, starting from primary age and continuing all the way up to A-level. We are an established company and offer generous pay that rises the longer you're with us. 

Currently we are looking for professional tutors to support our KS2 students with their English and Maths. Our ideal tutors have considerable experience teaching younger children and strong academic backgrounds. The tutor's goal will be to help our KS2 students who are unfamiliar with the UK primary curriculum with their English and Maths and ultimately to prepare them for their senior school entry tests. The classes are mostly taught online via Classin, but over the half-term holidays we sometimes have some of our London-based tutors come into our offices and teach in-house.

The ideal candidate has:

• Qualified Teacher Status and/or excellent experience of teaching primary school
• Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 2
• Passion for teaching
• Excellent behaviour management and organisation skills
• An up-to-date DBS certificate
• Proof of right to work in the UK

You will need to:

• Plan and prepare lessons in accordance with student's individual needs
• Tutor students 1:1
• Set homework
• Assess and monitor pupils' work 
• Record students' progress and provide written feedback after each lesson
