Tutor - 11+ / 13+ School Assessment Prep

We have been tutoring and supporting students for more than a decade in learning a whole range of subjects including English, Science, Maths, History, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, interview preparation, Latin, Greek, French, Geography, Economics and entrance exam preparation. We are an established company and offer generous pay that rises the longer you're with us. 

We are looking for tutors to deliver online and in-house lessons at our office in Hammersmith on English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning for 11+ exams. This will involve coaching them in all the components of UK independent school entrance exams: English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning. The ideal tutor will have excellent experience teaching group classes, strong knowledge of pre-test and school entrance test requirements and excellent motivational and class management skills. 

The ideal candidate has: 

• Qualified Teacher Status, i.e. PGCE or equivalent, or extensive teaching / classroom experience
• Experience in tutoring
• Passion for teaching
• Excellent knowledge of 11+ and 13+ entry test requirements
• Excellent behaviour management and organisation skills
• An up-to-date DBS certificate
• Proof of right to work in the UK

You will need to:

• Teach in-person group lessons at weekends
• Plan and prepare lessons targeted to assessment prep according to students' needs
• Set homework
• Assess and monitor pupils' work 
• Record students' progress and provide written feedback for each student at the end of the day
