Job Title: GCSE Tutors (English, Mathematics, Sciences, and Computer Studies)

Are you enthusiastic about guiding students to excel in their GCSEs? Focused Mentoring is looking for dedicated tutors who can deliver outstanding learning experiences in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry ,Biology and Computer Studies. Our mission is to provide students with the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and beyond.

About the Role

• Primary Teaching Method: Online
• Student Levels: Year 10–11 students preparing for their GCSE examinations.
• Class Setup: One-to-one or small-group lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Your Responsibilities

1. Lesson Design: Create and adapt materials that align with GCSE specifications.
2. Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance, identify gaps in understanding, and offer constructive feedback.
3. Homework & Assessment: Assign tasks that reinforce learning objectives and evaluate comprehension through quizzes or tests.
4. Communication: Maintain open channels with students (and parents where appropriate) to discuss progress and address concerns.

Who We’re Looking For

• Subject Expertise: Strong background in at least one GCSE subject area (English, Mathematics, Sciences, or Computer Studies).
• Teaching Qualifications/Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (e.g., PGCE) or substantial GCSE-level tutoring background.
• Passion & Adaptability: Demonstrated enthusiasm for engaging diverse learners with varied needs.
• Essential Documents: Valid DBS check and proof of right to work in the UK.
