Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced test preparation tutor who specialises in preparing students for UK school entrance exams, including the ISEB Pre-Test, UKiset, and CAT4. The ideal candidate will help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills across key areas. This is a part-time, flexible position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Exam-Specific Tutoring:

Deliver tailored tutoring to help students excel in entrance exams, including the ISEB Pre-Test, UKiset, and CAT4.

• Subject-Area Focus:

Provide instruction in key skills including English, Maths, verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, and spatial reasoning.

• Progress Tracking & Feedback:

Track student progress and assign homework to reinforce learning. Provide regular mock tests for students and mark work on a weekly basis. Provide detailed feedback and write a post-session report for each student.

• Strategy Development:

Equip students with strategies for tackling entrance exams, focusing on time management, exam techniques, and critical thinking.

• Professional Development:

Stay updated on changes to entrance exam formats and best practices in test preparation. Engage in continuous professional development.

Qualifications and work experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, with experience in test preparation.
• Expertise in preparing students for 11+, 13+, and 16+ UK school entrance exams.
• Familiarity with standardised test formats (with a focus on ISEB, UKiset & CAT4).
• Strong online teaching skills and experience.

Offer:

This is a part-time role, paid by the hour at a competitive rate from £50 (depending on the candidate’s experience). A pay review will be conducted on an annual basis, ensuring fair progression aligned with experience and performance.

Flexible scheduling is available, with the opportunity to take on more students over time.
