Additionally, we support students attending bilingual schools, offering them the guidance they need without necessarily moving abroad.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a versatile English tutor to work with students on various topics, including comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing, creative writing, vocabulary and grammar development. The tutor should create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth. This is a part-time, flexible position.

Key Responsibilities:

• High-Quality Tutoring:

Provide tutoring in a range of areas, including but not limited to: comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing, creative writing, grammar, vocabulary, and reading skills.

• Lesson Planning & Differentiation:

Plan lessons that meet the individual learning objectives of each student. Ensure a mix of skills-based and content-based learning.

• Progress Tracking & Feedback:

Regularly assess student performance, assign relevant homework, mark work on a weekly basis and provide detailed feedback. Write reports after each session to document progress and highlight areas for improvement.

• Skills Development:

Help students develop in a range of skill areas, including listening, reading, writing and speaking. Identify areas of strength as well as areas for improvement, ensuring sufficient time is dedicated to the latter.

• Professional Development:

Stay updated on the latest trends in English education and best teaching practices. Engage in continuous professional development.

Qualifications and work experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching a broad range of English skills.
• Strong understanding of key areas such as grammar, essay writing, and reading comprehension.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools.

Offer:

This is a part-time role, paid by the hour at a competitive rate from £45 (depending on the candidate’s experience). A pay review will be conducted on an annual basis, ensuring fair progression aligned with experience and performance.

Flexible scheduling is available, with the opportunity to take on more students over time.
